Blessings Around the Bend

Finding Peace

Do you ever wish you could replace all the ugliness of life and live in a carefree world....a little piece of paradise...no pain or grief or hurt?

Life is full of both...hills and valleys...excruciating pain and glorious ecstasy.  Just when we think we're at a good place, the rug gets pulled out from under us....a loved one has cancer....a job is lost...a miscarriage...bullying...a child chooses drugs...divorce...

Our world crashes in upon us.
How do we get back to that place of peace?

Of joy....happiness....contentment?

It comes from surrender...

Choosing not to follow our own path, but the road He has set before us...T.R.U.S.T.

It's scary.  We don't know where that road might lead.

But the secret lies in sacrifice.

Laying it all down at the foot of the cross. Acknowledging that we can't do it on our own.
We need Him. Jesus.

We need a Savior to save us....from ourselves...from the ugliness around us...from the unknowns that we are afraid to face...

All it takes is asking.

That's when the Peace comes flooding in...

And we know that we can carry on. Because we're no longer walking that road alone. He's right beside us.

Or He'll carry us when this world and all it's troubles gets to be too much.

And the unexpected blessings that come our way....when He takes us around the next bend and we find what our soul was craving...

Give us the strength to get through the next valley...

If we will just trust Him....good times and bad...carrying that Hope in our hearts that one day, all will finally be revealed...

We will have His Peace that passes all understanding...something that the world cannot take away!

If you would like to talk more about finding this peace, please let me know. I'd love to share it with you!
