Easter Breakfast Menu and Table Setting

Easter Breakfast Menu and Table Setting

I'm not doing a big Easter lunch this year.  Don't judge...

Mr. Diy and I leave for Cabo, Mexico a couple days after Easter so I've decided to keep Easter weekend low-key. No big meal. No big piles of dishes to wash!

I was playing around with Easter table settings this week, so I have a beautiful one to show you...but because we're not having a big Easter meal then I thought,

...why not Easter breakfast?

My family loves yummy breakfasts!

The menu won't be complicated.

Fresh fruit, maybe in salad form if I have time. Our family's favorite Chocolate Chip Scones, served warm and fresh right out of the oven. Little DIY and I love ours with Lemon Curd. There will be Lingonberry Jam too...yum!

The table will be decorated with this charming little bunny that Little DIY bought me at a yard sale last week while she was at a friend's sleepover. I was so touched when she excitedly pulled it out of her overnight bag and said, 'Mom, I saw this and thought of you.'

I'll have to serve the jams in this darling little double jam pot I found at Goodwill for the shocking total of .50! Can you believe it? I can't tell if it's Ironstone, I think it's just really pretty and dainty ceramic with not a chip on it.

And of course I'll have to use my mom's beautiful Royal Albert Lavender Rose dishes, layered with these dainty Johnson Bros Ironstone plates.

I've set the table with this pretty pink fabric and antique turquoise mason jars with white tulips and burlap bows.

Breakfast is so much simpler and much easier to clean up afterwards! I want to enjoy the day with my kids and Mr. DIY so I think this is a nice compromise.

And...here are a few pictures of the entire table set for Easter dinner. I had fun mixing old and new elements to create an eclectic, colorful and fun table. Hope you get some ideas!

Easter Blessings to each and every one of you!

bringing beauty to the ordinary,

p.s. I cooked a ham earlier in the week so we'll probably have a cheesy ham and potato casserole for lunch...don't feel too sorry for us :)

p.p.s. I'm off to Cabo!! I'll still be auto-posting next week but you won't see much action from me on Pinterest, FB, Twitter or Google+. However, I'll be back the following week with a great tan and pictures from our trip!
