Halloween Candelabra Makeover

When I was a Senior in College, I was made the Senior Class President.

I'm still not quite sure how I let myself be talked into it.

It was one of the hardest things I ever did,

and I'm not sure I did a stellar job.

In truth, I hated every minute of it!

Why? Quite simply, it just wasn't 'ME'.

We're all happier when we're fulfilling our purpose and being who we were made to be.

That's not to say we shouldn't step out of our comfort zone from time to time, but at the core of every one of us, at our essence, is who we were designed to be.

So what on earth does this have to do with a Halloween upcycle?

Stick with me here...there is a point!  Maybe a lame segue, but now you know something about me you might not have known before, haha!

So... there was a lonely white candelabra that had no purpose...

It was white and boring and never really felt comfortable in the awkward spots around the house where it was placed.

It struggled to hold its head up and look like it belonged...but it wasn't happy.

Until one day it got a brand new makeover for Halloween, and discovered what its purpose was!

An adorable addition to Halloween decor, bringing smiles and lighting up the night!  It is SO much happier now!

It got a fresh coat of black spray paint for starters. Then it was draped in spooky spider webbing and orange Halloween lights.

But the very best part? It made some new friends! Three little Dollar Tree pumpkins and a raven got their own makeovers and joined the lonely little candelabra for one frightfully cute new Halloween Display!

The little pumpkins are cute and friendly...

Their witch hats look a little bit like party hats (which shows how much fun they like to have), and their glittery eyes are full of life!

And the little black raven? Why he's not scary at all! He's sporting his own little party hat and has a ruffled tulle collar. Thanks to Flea Market Studio for inspiring this raven makeover!

And the raven got his own little perch on the top of the third pumpkin, painted with black chalkboard paint.

All in all, the little candelabra that was unhappy and lacking purpose...has found his way in this big wide world!

Before & After Halloween Display

Just like the girl who hates to get up in front of people...she's now happily blogging away, making new friends and creating wonderful things with her hands, using the creativity that her Creator gave her!
