This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and DripDrop®, but all opinions on running, not running and DripDrop are my own.

So...confession time.

I can't run. Yep, I own running shoes....but I don't run in them! They are great shoes for standing all day baking chocolate chip cookies (my other part time job!)

I've always admired long distance runners who are able to propel their bodies forward for miles at a time. They make it look effortless.

I've tried to run. Several years ago Mr DIY and I decided we'd go for a run every morning. It was going to be our 'thing'. I bought new running shoes, cute little stretchy shorts
and I was all ready to go running for 2 or 3 miles with my man (didn't matter than running had never been my thing). I had the cute outfit...I was good to go. didn't work.

I lasted a block. Maybe less.

It's not so much that I was out of shape (although, let's be real, I was)'s that running didn't feel right. My feet were tripping over one another, slamming into the pavement, and I couldn't get enough breath. It didn't feel natural. I was a clumsy, stumbling mess...a far cry from those runners who glide so light on their feet.

So Mr DIY ran...and I walked. So much for 'together' time!

When Little DIY told me she wanted to join the school running team, and run at 7 in the morning before school no less,  I was SO proud....and a little worried.

"You do know what running is, right?" I asked her (thinking, she's going to hate all that sweating and puffing and stumbling around). "Uh, yeah mom," she responded, (her eyes were saying 'duh'), "I like to run."

And she does. She's good. With her long legs, she's fast and she eats up the track! She loves to be in front, and she seems to fly. She has the stamina and ability that her poor momma doesn't have.

There's just one little problem....

She gets dehydrated very quickly. It doesn't just happen when she runs, it's any time she exerts herself physically. When she gets dehydrated, it comes with a bad headache, and an achy, listless body. It's no fun...for her or for me.

So when I heard about DripDrop, I knew we had to try it. It's a hydration powder combining medical grade hydration with great taste. You just mix it into your water. There's some amazing science behind how it works and why it's effective, but basically, it pulls water from your gut into your bloodstream and hydrates you faster than any other product on the market!

I found DripDrop in the baby aisle at CVS. It comes in Lemon and Berry flavor.

Little DIY likes the light lemon flavor, and I like how convenient it is!

It's the perfect solution for exercise-induced dehydration. I feel good knowing I won't be getting a phone call from the school nurse!

I have peace of mind sending my baby to torture  I mean running class knowing she has DripDrop with her. I'm sure we'll be using it a lot this summer too...and if I ever decide to take up running again (is there a pill you can take to make you like running?), I'll rely on DripDrop to help me stay hydrated.

If you'd like to try DripDrop yourself, here's a $1 off coupon for you to use (coupon good 1-21-15 to 2-21-15 while supplies last). Remember, it's at CVS in the baby aisle.

Coming up this week...a yummy Valentines Day treat...and an impressive (yet simple) dessert.
