Hey there sweet readers...are you ready for a week-full of giveaways?

DIY beautify is celebrating 5 years this week!

giveaway

I can hardly believe it! I love writing this blog and sharing ideas and inspiration with you! To celebrate my "blogiversary", I've teemed up with some of my favorite small shops to bring you 5 days of giveaways! That's right, 5 of you will win! There's something different each day, so make sure you check back each day this week! This will probably be the ONLY time you'll ever get 5 days of posts in a row from me!

What began as a hobby and way to share my passion to create beautiful items for my home, has turned into a part-time business and so much more!

I've met so many new friends and sweet people on this journey! I've grown both as a blogger and a do-it-yourselfer, a photographer and home styler! You can check out my very first post here, or this one a couple months later...still makes me laugh! I cringe when I look back at my photography skills attempts to take pictures in this early post ...eeeek! (thank you for saving me, Lightroom!)

Looking back and re-reading these 5-year old posts is fun. I realize that I used to share a lot of stories...something that I want to do more of! Why? Because you get to know me better. I'm not the funniest gal in the world...or the most clever...but when I share from the heart, I'm sharing a piece of myself with you...not just a pretty picture! #goals

I've been challenged to keep creating even when I think I've done it all and cannot possible have anything left to share! Your questions and interest have kept me motivated to continue bringing you quality content!

This weekfull of giveaways is my way of saying "Thank you so much" for following along! I love interacting with you, and appreciate every one of your likes, shares, and comments! Please keep them coming!

Let's start off the giveaway with this 16 oz Southern Iced Tea candle from 320 Sycamore Candles. Jen makes hand-poured soy candles in a range of amazing scents, and she says the Southern Iced Tea is one of her most popular scents! It really does smell like sweet tea!

Jen is just the sweetest and she'd like to offer you 10% off any items in her Etsy store for the next week. Please use the code "DIYBEAUTIFY" when you checkout to activate the discount.

To keep this celebration from getting boring, I thought I would share something about myself that you don't know...something different each day! So here we go...

Random fact about me:

Like the time I was 12 and we moved from Calgary, AB to Kelowna BC (that's in Canada ๐Ÿ˜‰). Kelowna is on a huge lake, the Okanagan Lake (sometimes called "Canada's Hawaii"...really!! because of its beautiful beaches). I learned how to water ski that summer...and was invited to participate in a water ski stunt show for our town's Regatta! I remember being so incredibly honored...and also very, very scared! Unfortunately, I didn't have the upper arm strength to climb up the pyramid of people and so it never happened. Talk about disappointing! ๐Ÿ˜ข I would love to be able to say that I was in a water ski stunt show when I was a kid!!!

More tomorrow! Hope to see you right back here!
