Thrifty Style Team Affordable DIY projects for the home

If you're new here, a special welcome! I'm Cindy, a home decorating enthusiast and I haven't met a DIY project I don't like! We just moved to Mississippi from Texas and are still unpacking and making our temporary rental feel like home. I am a huge fan of creating a beautiful home for as little money as possible! How to decorate your walls on a budget

So back to wall art. It can be very expensive, and the problem with being a chronic decorator is that I like to change things around a lot! That can get very pricey.

I was on the lookout for some inexpensive and colorful art for my walls. I remembered watching an episode of Home Town and Erin was super excited to decorate a room in an old farmhouse with William Morris wallpaper. It was bright and vibrant and nature inspired.

I immediately looked it up and found out that William Morris is a famous name in the design world, known for his textiles and wallpaper. You might have seen his 'Strawberry Thief' pattern before. All his designs are created with nature in mind, and I fell in love with the patterns and colors as I continued searching.

Digital art

I found this set of digital papers on Etsy. There are nine different designs in the pack and the blues were just what I was looking for. I paid only $3.50 for the entire paper pack!

How to turn digital art into wall art

This really couldn't be simpler! I downloaded the digital files using the instructions provided and saved them to a thumb drive (you could also save them to your phone). I took the drive to Office Depot and had them print the Art Nouveau William Morris papers I selected onto cardstock, to my specific size.

I trimmed them down with my paper trimmer, to fit some gallery frames I had purchased on Amazon.

The blues are all different, as are the patterns, but they look pretty incredible hanging up together! I especially love how the bright and colorful blue art pops against our reclaimed wood wall in our sunroom! It feels very modern farmhouse.

Pairing them with this simple crackle finish beaded wood tray (that I made for $20) keeps the focus on the art.

And the plants in our sunroom are the perfect compliment to the nature inspired vintage prints. This was our Texas home, and I am really missing that large and bright sunroom! My plants here in MS are scattered throughout our home, which is fine but they don't make as big of an impact!

I hope you're excited to try decorating with some digital prints! I recommend checking out Etsy, they are so many options and styles available! You can shop some of my favorites right here! Print them out, pop them in a pretty frame and voila - beautiful and thrifty art for your walls!
