Easter Shadow Box Decor

Decorating a Shadow Box for Easter

Decorating a Shadow Box for Easter

This might have been my easiest project to date! I think it took, oh maybe 10 minutes to pull together!

I had this great shadow box that I found at Michaels (on clearance) several years ago and had painted blue. It most recently held shells. Living in SW Florida up until last year, I have a huge shell collection; maybe even the Best.Shell.Collection.Ever! I like to display my shells and this shadow box is the perfect little display cabinet to show off a special collection! Of course only my very favorite shells will fit! The others are stacked in glass jars and hurricanes...I'll have to post about my shells someday :)

I thought this shadow box would look really pretty with a collection of small Easter decorations that I already owned inside it.

I have some fluffy chicks that my m-i-l crocheted for Mr. Diy when he was a kid, along with the cutest ceramic bunnies and some eggs.

The hardest part was deciding what direction the bunnies and chicks should face and what compartments to put them in!

I didn't have enough of the 'smalls' to fill every compartment so I tried to position the things I had in a pleasing arrangement, keeping the 'principle of threes' in the back of my mind.

Now where to put it? I initially tried it on my console table under my huge ornate framed chalkboard...but it looked a little lost there.

It needed a smaller spot.

It found a perfect home on my cottage green chest next to my Easter Tree with Chalk Painted Eggs and under my Flower Pot Wreath.

It's like the perfect little Spring and Easter vignette!

I hope you're enjoying your Spring and Easter decorating and finding unique ways to display what you already have!
