Parade of Homes Sneak Peek

Nashville Parade of Homes Blogger Tour

While writing and maintaining a blog has definitely made me question my sanity any number of times, there are definite perks!

I was blessed to be invited to participate in the Nashville Parade of Homes sneak peek with other area bloggers. The four homes are located in the exclusive Kings Chapel community in Arrington, TN.

This was my first-ever blogger meet up and I'll admit I was a little nervous because I didn't know anyone. I was a little star struck, not just because the homes were so amazing, but because I was meeting some bloggers that I've been following for quite awhile and it felt like a celebrity sighting, over and over! But everyone was so nice and I had a great time!

The Kings Chapel Holiday Tour of Homes was a collaboration with Make-A-Wish Foundation and Kirklands, with all proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Middle TN. Our sweet hosts were Nancy and Dana of Forest Home Media.

I'll keep my commentary brief as this post is photo-heavy. You are in for some serious eye candy!

I love this idea for a towering centerpiece. It's a tree, standing on three tiered cake stands.

Do you recognize this gal? It's Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof! She put together this Grammy-themed tree based on the request of a young girl. Notice the gold-painted-record tree skirt!

This dining room was stunning! The ceiling is done in this moody dark gray, and the textured walls have this really unique paint treatment. The massive chandy with ropes of crystal beads, the chairs with their upholstery webbing bow and little wreaths, and that great centerpiece...breathtaking!

These ceilings were amazing! I love the juxtaposition of the rustic wood with the white bedding and touches of bling. The largest pillowcases had been knit in this beautiful cable pattern. Big and chunky!

Look who I got my picture with!!!
(I may have embarrassed myself and actually squealed when I met KariAnne!!!!!!!)

KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms lives in a gorgeously remodeled farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, Kentucky. Her blog is funny and real and her projects are some of my favorites!

KariAnne decorated this Circus-Theme tree, covered in strands of monkeys and glittered ornaments and tickets and sparkly baubles. It's adorable.

I was really taken with this study. Gray paneling sets the mood and I love how it's been decorated. The cage-type light fixture sends these octagon reflections all over the walls. This study had its own fireplace....and there was a door to the left that opened into a safe! A whole room for your valuables and treasures!

This is Kristie from The Decorologist and her Greek-themed tree. What a theme for a young boy to make for his wish. Kristie did a fabulous job, enlisting the help of her followers for ideas, and her tree was beautiful.

This kitchen literally made my jaw drop open. Look at this amazing stove/hood/backsplash combo. Can you imagine standing here with crazy bedhead, unbrushed teeth and wearing your jammies to make an egg? Seems like it would be a crime! Or to make a Walmart pizza in that oven. I guess if you had the money to buy this home you'd probably look like you belonged in this kitchen, too! Or you just wouldn't care! Or you'd have your own live-in chef!

I didn't get a good picture of her, but this Super Model-theme tree was designed and decorated by Leslie of Chaotically Creative. Her sparkly tree was just bursting with girliness!

All four home were absolutely stunning, and each of the blogger decorators were so sweet. I was thrilled to meet each one and I hope you go and check out their blogs.

The tour ended with a High Tea in the clubhouse, where we were treated with a buffet of finger sandwiches, and tasty sweets (including macarons!)..and tea of course!

The high note of the day for me, aside from meeting the bloggers, was winning one of the door prizes, a pair of beautiful lanterns from Kirklands. They've made their debut on my Christmas mantel ~ you'll be able to see them when I share my own home tour on Monday!

The low note was when I climbed in my car to head home and discovered my battery was dead. I am so grateful to Amanda of Tribe and Thicket and the wonderful girls from Kirklands ~ Danielle, Jordan and Michelle.

Thanks for helping a girl out! I made it home safely :)

If you're local, you too can explore these amazing homes! The tour is open from December 6-21 from 10 am to 8 pm. You can purchase tickets here.

Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!
