Hand Painted Laundry Room Definition Sign DIY beautify

If you're like me (and the majority of America), you're addicted to Fixer Upper! Chip and Jo are not only cute and funny, with a marriage and family life (and farmhouse) to bring out the green monster of jealousy in the best of us...but the miracles those two can work with a dilapidated house! It's enough to make me want to pack up and move to Waco just so they can redo a home for us!

What does Fixer Upper have to do with today's project? Well, I am getting to that...truly!

Easter decor DIY beautify

Today I'm sharing a little home tour and my Easter decor.

I didn't go out and spend a bunch of money. I reused things I had, displaying them a little differently. In fact, very little money was spent to update my home for Easter.

Graphic Eggs in Painted Cabinet

Monday, March 16, 2015

If you're like most American families, chances are you'll be gathering soon with your kids, grand kids, nieces and/or nephews for an afternoon of Easter egg decorating. Why not change things up this year and create Easter eggs that you can enjoy every year? Today's project was inspired by several different graphic egg designs I've seen floating around Pinterest, mainly this one by Obviously Sweet blog. Rather than displaying them in a basket or bowl, I decided to display each one like a piece of artwork by mounting them in a painted cabinet with cubbies.

Adding Farmhouse charm to a laundry room with painted cabinets DIY beautify

Good morning friends. If you've been following along with my Farmhouse Modern Laundry Room Redo on a budget, today is Day 2.

I already showed you how Mr DIY and I updated an ugly vinyl floor with beautiful peel and stick tiles. The floors look great...but I really couldn't wait to get going on the shelves and storage part of this makeover!

Transform a Laundry Room Floor (with Peel and Stick Tiles)

Budget Floor Makeover - use peel and stick tiles in a diagonal pattern to transform your floor | DIY beautify

Today begins the first in a series of projects involving our Laundry Room! Mr DIY and I have been busy transforming our small laundry room and giving it an incredible, Farmhouse Modern makeover on a dime!

Our laundry room is super tiny, 33 square feet. It's builder-grade (meaning the only storage was the wire shelf above the machines). And it was UGLY...vinyl floor, flat builder's paint on the walls, exposed cords and breaker box, and no personality whatsoever.

DIY Easter Napkins

DIY Easter napkins DIY beautify

It was very strange putting together an Easter post in the middle of a snowstorm last week! The snow may be all melted now....but when I was writing this post, we were 'snowed in'!
