Some of these projects involve hammers and staple guns and paint and some are more on the crafty side...but I'm sure you'll find something that will appeal to you! These are some oldies but goodies. I don't always decorate for Valentines Day in a big way, but I do love to craft, and it's a great time of year to make something new, especially after the Christmas decor is put away and the house is looking rather empty. Adding a little color with some handcrafted Valentines projects can bring some cheer back into your home!

Farmhouse DIY Valentines Projects

Mini Pallet Valentine Sign
Just because I live in Texas doesn't mean I believe that bigger is always better 😉 Sometimes mini is just right and this mini pallet Valentine sign was not only easy to make, but is the perfect way to add a pop of farmhouse Valentines to your home.

In case you thought my life and marriage were perfect (hah), make sure you read the post I wrote along with this project! Can you relate? This is a rustic and weathered sign, a little warped but one of a kind - just like my marriage (and yours!)😍

Colorful Paper Hearts Canvas This bright and colorful heart canvas is a great project to do with kids for Valentines Day! There are 3 more kid-friendly Valentines Day projects in this one post.

This wreath is fun for Valentines with it's non-traditional colors, but it can also be used for so many more occasions...or just because! I especially like the felt flowers (tutorial included!)

Drop Cloth Torn Heart Pillow
I need a pillow that says, "Pillows Are My Life" because I have so many! This neutral hearts pillow cover is a new project I just completed. Please let me know if you'd like me to share the tutorial (sewing is involved).

Along with the neutral pillow, I made a batch of farmhouse fabric hearts from several different fabric scraps. They're lightly stuffed and easy to tuck into a basket, make a garland or just set them out on a table for a neutral farmhouse twist for Valentines Day! Let me know if you'd like the tutorial.

Farmhouse Neutral Fabric Hearts

I created the following printable to use for Valentines Day and it's free for your personal use. You can click on the link below to get the tutorial and also to find out how I've displayed it in my home.

Are you looking for a large statement piece for your home? You can save hundreds of dollars by making your own DIY sign from discarded pallets! Attaching the pallet pieces together in an offset way keeps it lighthearted! This DIY sign would be ideal hanging above a sofa.
