Hi friends! I'm sharing some amazingly easy marbled ornaments that are so much fun to make!

I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving! Mr DIY smoked our turkey this year and it was so yummy! We thoroughly enjoyed the extra time to spend together this week and played several games, had fun at Top Golf, ate our weight in pie 😍 did a little shopping, and watched movies.

I'm joining the bloggers of Deck the Home and our challenge this week was ornaments. I'll be linking to the other projects at the end of this post, so make sure you check them all out!

I'm no stranger to making marbled ornaments. I made marbled metallic ornaments using paint a couple years ago, and loved how they turned out. The process was completely different, and the magic happened on the inside of the ornaments!

But these beauties may be my favorite! I couldn't believe how quick these ornaments were to make...it literally took seconds per ornament! I'm sharing the process in a short video right here, including all the supplies you'll need for this project!

I could fill a tree with just these beautiful balls...they are really that pretty! Each one is different depending on how much nail polish you use. The more nail polish, the darker they will be.

I realize these look a little more fuchsia than red, but I still love them! You could use any color of nail polish you want, and you can even mix colors to get an entirely custom look!

I'm sharing my tips for success below the pretty pictures.

I had already decorated my trees when I made these, so I chose to bundle them from a long piece of striped ribbon and hung them from a wreath in my dining room.

I think it's a completely inspired way to display some favorite ornaments!

Tips for Marbling Ornaments with Nail Polish

  • have everything set up ahead of time (don't forget a drying station!)
  • protect work surface with plastic or paper
  • use a fan for ventilation or do this project outside
  • shake nail polish well
  • remember the color will be lighter than it looks in the bottle, so plan accordingly
  • mistakes can be fixed with a little nail polish remover so have that on hand
  • don't be worried about perfection, just go for it!
