Last Minute Halloween Decorating

Easy Last Minute Decorating for Halloween

Have you left your Halloween decorating until the last minute? No worries! Here are three cheap and easy crafts that you can get done in a day and that won't break the bank!

The first one is these cute little ghosts made from a white plastic tablecloth from the Dollar Tree. I got four ghosts from one tablecloth. All I did is folded the tablecloth in half and cut it into 4 equal squares. Using a sharpie I drew on a 'scary' face in the middle. A plastic grocery sack becomes the little head. I wrapped a piece of wire around the neck and twisted at the back to secure. The tails of the wire were wrapped around my bushes to hold them in place. A little fluff and they look like they're flying :)

Next are these skeletons, again from the Dollar Tree. Mine got a coating of glow-in-the-dark paint (bought at Home Depot). I brushed on two coats, letting it dry thoroughly between each coat. The sun activates the phosphor in the paint, so I hope it's sunny on October 31!! A glittery bow around their neck bones gives an extra touch of cuteness.

Last up is a BOO banner I made for my door. It's just 3 burlap rectangles that I cut into banner shapes. I made my own letter stencils by cutting out letters on my Cricut machine and using the negative space. I spray painted two coats of white paint. You wanna know a secret? I made the banner double-sided! Yup, the other side says JOY!! You'll have to wait a couple weeks until I reveal that one :) I glued the burlap together along with the jute string and added some jaunty little bows. I attached it to my door using small, clear 3M adhesive hooks. I think it adds just the right touch above my Happy Halloween sign.

I think I'm ready for Halloween now! The decorating is done, the candy is purchased, costumes are bought....bring on the trick-or-treaters!!

How about you? Are you ready or are you still scrambling? Please feel free to use these ideas and/or pin them for future reference :)

Happy Halloween!
