Pink Shabby Chenille Pumpkins

Pink chenille is crafted into sweet, shabby pumpkins full of cottage charm! You need these in your life!

There are no rules when it comes to creating! This batch of pink chenille pumpkins may defy the rules of nature, but they are unique and special! I absolutely adore pumpkins, real ones and fake ones alike! I've made my share of DIY pumpkins, but this time I wanted to do something a little out of the box.

Pink pumpkins. Made from soft, vintage chenille, reminiscent of grandma's cozy  bedspreads. Of course you can use new chenille as well...it's just as soft, especially after a run through the washer and dryer!

Nothing says Fall quite like warm cozy sweaters or snuggling in bed with a favorite soft blanket or quilt. So why not handcrafted chenille pumpkins that remind us of our favorite things.

These little pumpkins are sweet and just the perfect shabby touch for Fall. I used vintage chenille that I've had for years just sitting in a drawer of my white cottage dresser, waiting to be used for something special.

I crafted my chenille pumpkins the same way I made my DIY sweater pumpkins, so rather than repeating all the steps here, just click over to see the step by step instructions for making your own.

* You could also cut your fabric into circles and hand-sew a running stitch around the edges to gather the fabric. You will need something to use for a stem if you do this.

I made these pumpkins in graduated sizes, not by design really, just using up scraps. Because they're fabric and soft, they can easily be stacked for a cute display.

Pair shabby pumpkins with vintage lace and antique ironstone for a truly memorable display that is romantic and shabby chic.

Or add them to a hand carved wood dough bowl or next to a chippy corbel for more cottage farmhouse charm.

It's amazing to me that a little piece of vintage fabric, some stuffing and jute twine can come together to make something so dainty and beautiful!

These darling cottage pink pumpkins remind me of my favorite things from childhood, all rolled into one adorable tangible little package!

Maybe you have scraps from your grandma's bedspreads or quilts that you can use for this project. Otherwise, shop online or in thrift store for vintage chenille or you can even find soft pink chenille on Amazon to craft your pumpkins.

Happy crafting!
