Welcome to my Christmas home tour! It's hard to believe that Christmas is next week already! I plan to take a much-needed break from blogging for the rest of 2019 and spend time with my kids. Our daughter gets her wisdom teeth out later this week, so prayers are appreciated that she would have a smooth and fast recovery!

Every year I say I'm going to scale back my Christmas decorating...but I just can't help myself! I love decorating for Christmas!

As you tour my home, here's a little reality check. What you don't see in these pretty pictures are all the messes behind the scenes! But believe me, they're there! Our home is lived in, usually sporting a little too much dust, and piles of clutter!! We're an imperfect family! What I hope you walk away from as you tour our Christmas home is a sense of a welcoming, comfortable home, where all who walk through our doors are invited to make themselves at home! ❤

Merry Christmas Home Tour

I've already shared nearly all of my home with you, in bits and pieces as I've worked on projects leading up to Christmas. I'll link to any DIY projects that you may want to check out further.

Welcome to our home!

Christmas Porch

Christmas front porch

Our front porch is decorated minimally, but I love the pop of color from the peppermint candy pillow wraps I made for only $3! The curbside tree that I flocked had to be moved indoors because the wind kept knocking it down. Now it's tucked away right inside the front door. I love the glow and twinkle of the Christmas tree inside, shining through the windows.

Christmas Dining Room

Our dining room is one of my favorite rooms to decorate, probably because we rarely eat in here, so the decor stays nice! 😇 I set up our largest tree in the corner, and while it's tight, it adds a very festive feeling to our home. You can read more about my tips to decorating a budget-friendly Christmas table setting here.

I made these Christmas lunch plates, but ran out of time to share this DIY with you....so maybe next year??

These easy marbled ornaments took literally minutes to make, and I enjoyed displaying them in a unique way!

Christmas Kitchen

Our kitchen is right off the dining room. This room is ALWAYS messy!! I had to clean and style it for Christmas while the family was all at home and school! I wish I could say it looks like this now, but it doesn't 😉 Our table is a magnet for mail and other clutter that seems to multiply daily!

You might notice that I changed out the curtains in here and brought my buffalo check curtains from my office. I like the neutral color for Christmas, it's a big change from the large floral curtains and pastel colors I had here before.

The table is set with layers and more peppermint candy decor (click here for similar). You'll find a theme of red and white stripes throughout my Christmas decor...it just feels so cheerful and merry!

I created this super easy centerpiece by simply wrapping a non-Christmas lambs ear garland around a glass hurricane. I tucked some fairy lights inside for some instant holiday magic!

Christmas Living Room

Let's walk through the kitchen into our large living room. This room is where we hang so it's got to be comfortable!

I kept the Christmas decor off the tabletops as much as possible.

I swapped out the white shutters I had hanging on either side of this DIY farmhouse clock, and hung tall arched chalkboards from Antique Farmhouse.  I layered a red berry wreath (made from a garland) on top of a mini boxwood wreath and attached them with red ticking striped ribbon.

No new Christmas pillows this year, I just brought out the ones I already had! And of course blankets make it extra cozy.

We have a large double-sided fireplace in this room, that I painted with chalk paint a couple years ago. The DIY snowflake signs were a new project this year.

Sunroom Christmas Decor

The sunroom behind our living room is a great place to hang out and take a nap on the vintage inspired daybed or read a favorite book. I love this calm and peaceful space!

I like to put our second largest tree here because there's more room than trying to stuff it into the living room. Plus, you can see it twinkling from the front door as it's a straight shot down the hallway!

This tree was decorated with plenty of red and white ornaments and I made a new buffalo check tree collar for it with a cute ribbon tie. Have you noticed that I have a bit of a thing for black and white buffalo check?? 😍 But doesn't it pair nicely with red and white?

This room also houses my cottage white dresser, and you can see that I hung my $10 DIY farmhouse Christmas wreath from it. Because it's made from fabric, I was hesitant to hang it outside in our ever-changing Texas weather! It adds so much Christmas charm in this room!

My fiddle leaf figs are growing like crazy, they love all the light in this room!

Christmas Bedroom

This was the first year I decorated our bedroom for Christmas, and we love it so much that it's going to become a must-do every year!

We put some effort into giving this room a little makeover this year, including a faux brick wall that is covered in German schmear, new bedding, and DIY barn doors. You can see the full makeover tour here, with links to all our DIY projects. It's definitely more fun to decorate a room when you've recently put time and effort into a makeover!

Cozy bedding, lots of pillows (including this 5-minute bolster pillow wrap) and twinkle lights make this one of our favorite spaces to relax!

I hope you've come away with a few ideas for Christmas decorating, even if it has to wait until next year!
