I've always decorated on a budget and enjoy seeing how little I can spend on home decor. Many of my friends around the country are turning to thrift stores to decorate their homes and save money. Thrifting and the love of vintage decor have become a hot new trend!

What about you? Do you love decorating with thrifted and vintage or vintage inspired items? You're in luck because I'm sharing several fabulous ideas with you! Let's get right to them. Click on any colored links below for more details.

Ideas to decorate with thrifted and vintage items

I joined my Thrifting with the Gals friends to share some of our very best thrifted finds, vintage decor and vintage inspired ideas from this past year with you! It's always so fun to see what vintage treasures other people are finding and upcycling! Enjoy these ideas below.

Vintage Inspired Advertising Labels

Sometimes you have the inspiration and idea, but you just can't find the vintage items in real life (or, because they're trending, they are outrageously expensive!). That's what happened to me, so I took matters into my own hands and made vintage inspired advertising labels that I could apply to my existing whiteware and ironstone pieces!

If you've struggled to find vintage items too, you'll love this tutorial for decorating your existing pieces with packing tape transfers! I found this white milk glass mason jar at the thrift store for just $3.99 and added one of my packing tape transfers to really elevate the vintage look! You can grab my printable sheet of antique advertising reproduction labels, free for subscribers.

I used the same process to transform some other pieces in my home, including these rabbit transfers on vintage door knobs.
