Spring Flower Pots and Bunny Munch Snack Mix

Decorate for Spring with pretty painted pots and speckled eggs for color and charm! Including my simple recipe for bunny munch, a sweet and salty snack mix the whole family will love!

Inexpensive terracotta pots, painted and textured, pair so beautifully with speckled eggs for simple Spring decor that you can really use anywhere! They also make the cutest receptacles to hold a serving of my easy bunny munch snack mix, recipe below!

Painted terracotta pots

These dollar store terra cotta pots have had several transformations since I first painted and stamped them and used them on my dining table with lavender and vintage white ironstone dishes.

A couple years ago I added texture to the pots and used them to create a French inspired Spring wreath with succulents and purple flowers. You can see that tutorial here.

When we moved away from Texas, I removed the pots from the wreath for easier packing. I never did create that wreath again, but have used the painted pots in my decor all year long.

Spring flower pots decorating ideas

This Spring, the pots look so pretty stacked and filled with these light speckled eggs. Of course you can plant them with herbs, or flowers, but they make beautiful decor on their own as well.

The lace bunny is something I made this year, and I love the Frenchified, shabby chic charm of it with the floral fabric! So perfect with the white pots and speckled pastel eggs, isn't it?

I added some scallop edges to a few of the pots, and I'll be sharing that tutorial very soon. It is surprisingly easy and adds such sweet vintage style to inexpensive  terracotta pots!

Everything is cuter with scallops, wouldn't you agree?

I'm sure you have ideas swirling in your head for decorating with clay flower pots, whether you paint and texture them or not!

Here are some ideas:

  • stack several pots, fill a few with flowers, and use as a table centerpiece
  • add an individual pot to a place setting, filled with eggs, flowers or even treats (watch me make our family's favorite bunny munch mix - if you don't have IG, look for the recipe below!)
  • add pots to a wall mounted mug rack - I love decorating mine for the seasons, you can see some ideas here!
  • stack various sized pots and display on shelves
  • fill with succulents for an easy window display

Bunny munch mix snack recipe

I'm making another batch of this easy and delicious sweet and salty snack mix for this weekend. Here is the simple recipe, feel free to make substitutions! Recipe can easily be doubled for a crowd.

Mix dry ingredients together. Melt chocolate, pour over ingredients and mix well. Spread onto cookie sheet and top with chocolate candies while hot. Let cool, break into pieces and store in covered container.

This snack mix satisfies my love of snacking on crunchy textures, and that sweet and salty combination that is just so good!

To use the Spring pots with the snack mix, be sure the pots are clean. Insert a plastic sandwich bag, with the edges folded back, to hold the bunny munch.

This tasty snack mix serves double duty as both table decor, as well as a sweet treat for your guests! Everyone will love it, and they can take the pot home to use in another way.

I hope you have a blessed Easter weekend! He is risen ✞
