I love pulling out the bunnies, eggs and tulips every Spring. I lean towards pastel colors at Spring without it being too cutesy. If that's your style too, you should feel right at home as you tour my vintage cottage Easter decor!

Easter and Spring Kitchen

Our painted coffee bar was formerly a tv console. It started life as part of a bedroom suite that my in-laws purchased in the 60's. It's heavy, solid wood and when we moved into this home, it made the perfect coffee bar.

Earlier in the Spring I hung a DIY tulip wreath on the chippy window. Things don't stay the same here for long, and I couldn't wait to add more Easter decor.

This area is one of my favorites to decorate. Taking this room from Spring to Easter was as simple as hanging my DIY Easter egg wreath on the chippy antique window.

The little reproduction primitive country pie safe houses some of my small ironstone collection and some speckled eggs that I painted. You can see how to do that here.

I added my bunny peekaboo DIY treat jars that I repurposed from regular food jars.

woven chargers, bunny plates, napkin knots

The table is set simply with woven chargers, the cutest melamine bunny plates from this Arthur Court collection (use code DIYBEAUTIFY10OFF to save 10% through the end of May 2024), and blue striped napkins that I loosely tied in a knot. I reimagined a new polka dot woven wastebasket as a table centerpiece, filled with white tulips and tied with a pink lace ribbon.

Easter Bedroom

This winter I received beautiful linen sheets and a pick-stitch quilt from Quince. These are, without a doubt, the nicest, softest and coziest bedding pieces we've owned!

To add simple Spring touches to our bedroom, I added pink velvet pillows I've had for years, a pink throw blanket, and the DIY double-sided Easter bunny pillow I made last year.

I hung the tattered fabric strips heart wreath I made right from our large headboard!

I could stay in our cozy bed all day haha!

Easter Dining Room

Our dining room has not one but two hutches, which I've filled with stacks of vintage dishes that I've thrifted - ironstone and transferware are my favorites to collect.

I added gold bunnies and DIY gold eggs to the black hutch. Don't laugh at my Christmas garland still hanging around - I like it!

I added my favorite real touch tulips to an antique ironstone pitcher as a centerpiece. At only $23 for 30 tulips, they're a great deal that you'll enjoy for years!

Layered place settings, vintage dishes and these DIY blue and white gingham napkins add interest. I made the napkins and a large square tablecloth set from an inexpensive Amazon tablecloth.

decoupage eggs, silver, ironstone

Painted and decoupaged eggs, and my blue and white custom candle from a napkin, are simple projects that keep my Spring and Easter decor inexpensive. I've collected bunnies for years, and always enjoy sprinkling their sweetness around my home. You can see a peek of my bunny munch mix, an easy and delicious treat that's fun to gift!

My primitive pine hutch got simple Easter touches with blue eggs in white ironstone bowls, some handmade paper roses, bunnies and the sweetest fluffy chicks that my mom-in-law crocheted in the 70's.

The hanging bunny pillow is an easy, no-sew project using drop cloth remnants and floral fabric. I made two different sets, you can find the tutorial here.

Easter Living Room Decor

I added very little Easter decor to our living room, but did hang a Spring basket bouquet from the window inside our front door. The Spring basket was so easy to put together, just three steps - find out how right here.

I also added my DIY Easter egg topiary tree to the cottage dresser and love how it adds a subtle pop of color.

Easter Office Decor

I know this is getting long, but I wanted to add a few pictures from my office. This is where I craft and blog, and I enjoy creating seasonal vignettes in this space.

  1. Good morning Cindy, Sun is shining here in Southern Michigan near Indiana border but still cold and windy. I know what you mean about garland. I have begun using Lamb's ear garland about this time of year. I noticed a green one in your photos. I think it might be seeded eucalyptus?? Looks pretty. I also made some garlands out of old music pages. That works well after Christmas and before spring. I have a toaster cover and curtain and table runner made from a blue and white checked shower curtain from Goodwill. Got some miles out of it. Love the fabric too. Hope you have a blessed Easter.
